The original X-Men trilogy was a great success, so a lot of fans were disappointed to learn that the X-Men franchise was being recast and showing the characters in their younger years. However, X-Men: First Class was a success in its own right and did well enough to earn a sequel.

Peter Dinklage will star in the film
X-Men: Days of Future Past will see a blend of the new actors with the original stars, as well as adding some new faces to the cast. One of those new faces is Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage, who will appear in the movie in role of Bolivar Trask, and Peter has spoken briefly about his character.
Dinklage told EW, "He’s a man of science. He’s a man of invention. He actually sees what he’s doing as a good thing — [his ambition is] definitely blind and he’s quite arrogant. He’s strove all his life for a certain respect and attention."
