Michelle Pfeiffer has become one of the longest-serving actresses in Hollywood, appearing in a huge amount of movies along the way, and at one point being regarded as the best in the business. While Michelle has been lucky enough to find a career that she absolutely loves, not everybody has been so lucky, but Michelle has given some advice about finding your passion in life.
Pfeiffer explained, "What's interesting is, there's always a lot of talk to young people about finding their passion, following their passion. But I remember reading somewhere that a lot of people don't have a passion. And there's this pressure to have one. It's perfectly fine not to have one. But to be lucky enough to know what that is at such a young age is really a blessing."
While Michelle Pfeiffer has enjoyed a very long career in the acting industry, enjoying plenty of success along the way, it seems that there was once a time when it did not look like acting was even in her sights. Michelle admits that she did not originally see herself as becoming a huge movie star, although she eventually found her way into the industry.
Pfeiffer added, "I'm from Orange County, Southern California, and couldn't have been more removed from the entertainment business. In fact, I didn't really even go to the movies much. My mother didn't drive. My father couldn't be bothered. So, I didn't really go anywhere. But what I did do is I would stay up really late watching old movies on television. I can't even tell you what they were because I was so young. But I remember watching what they were doing and saying to myself, 'I can do that.'"
Michelle Pfeiffer has not appeared on the big screen since 2013 but she is set to make her return in the upcoming new movie Mother!, which sees her sharing the big screen with such Hollywood superstars as Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Wiig, Javier Bardem, and Domhnall Gleeson. Mother! has been written and directed by Darren Aronofsky and is due for release on October 13 in the US and November 3 in the UK.
