While there is a lot of excitement surrounding the planned Suicide Squad movie, with a very strong cast being brought together, there is still one little problem that those involved with the casting of the movie need to resolve. British actor Tom Hardy was set to play the role of Rick Flagg in Suicide Squad but he has since pulled out of the project and will need replacing.
Meanwhile, actress Margot Robbie will play the role of Harley Quinn in the Suicide Squad film and the actress has been talking about Tom Hardy pulling out of the project. Margot says that it is a very big project to bring together but that those fans who are worried about the movie falling apart have nothing to worry about.
Robbie told USA Today, "This happens all the time. People act like, 'Oh my god, the movie must be ending!' It's just the deal with movies. Not to mention a lot of the characters haven't been portrayed before so it's a pretty big undertaking. And it's a big undertaking for the people who are going to play the characters who have been played, like the Joker. It's big shoes to fill."
While we are waiting for the revelation of who will replace Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg in the Suicide Squad movie, we do know that we will see Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Will Smith as Deadshot, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, as well as Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn. Suicide Squad is being directed by David Ayer and will open on August 5, 2016 in both the US and the UK.
