Maybe Rhona Mitra is rebelling and showing her distaste for the lack of quality dialogue she was provided in the movie "The Left" that recently hit the movie screens and has unfortunately been subjected to some harsh reviews. 
The 'rebellion' theme is one that entertainment observers are hoping is the reason she seems to be focusing on working in action-adventure projects such as "Strike Back" and her current series "The Last Call" and not seducing audiences with her model looks, mesmerizing English accent and dramatic acting range.
In her action-adventure projects she is a supporting actress who win scenes but does not get the same screen time that she would as a lead actor in a dramatic project. With her ability to play an Alpha female role and her model looks some entertainment insiders envision her as an actress who could play the strong but flawed 'good' character or the complex, mysterious, challenging femme fatale role.
However, since she filmed "The Loft" in 2011 and appeared in a feature role in the television movie "Crisis Point" she has appeared in two projects, "Strike Back" and "The Last Ship", both action-adventure projects.
Rhona Mitra has not just the looks but the scintillating ability of an actress who can be a Hollywood dramatic leading lady star on the big screen but to do so she needs to 'take the plunge' and get her hands 'emotionally dirty' in some dramatic projects whether the project is a crime drama, romantic drama or thriller.
When an actress has the sensational acting range of a Rhona Mitra (and the Hollywood leading lady appearance) it is essential that they show filmmakers that one 'flawed' script is not able to push an actor from a genre in which they can be a star.
The good thing for movie fans is that there are casting agents, producers and directors who see her as a dramatic leading lady and interested in pursuing her as such. Thus it will likely be a very interesting 2015 for Rhona Mitra and her fans as to whether she will be able to 'avoid' taking or playing a feature role in a big screen dramatic movie.
