Former soccer star David Beckham has had some experience in acting, what with the adverts he has appeared in during his career, as well as a couple of cameo appearances in movies and on TV. Well, David will next be seen on the big screen in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, and he had to go through a gruesome transformation, which included rotten teeth and facial scars, for the role.

Beckham took to his official Instagram page to share a picture of his face for the role with his fans and followers and, along with the rather disturbing looking image, the superstar also added the caption, "Rough day at the office @kingarthurmovie @guyritchie (sic)"

While David Beckham has insisted that he does not have any real plans to take up acting seriously, only taking on the role in King Arthur: Legend of the Sword as he is good friends with Guy Ritchie, it seems that there are some people who would be more than happy to welcome him to the acting game. Fellow Brit, Charlie Hunnam plays the lead role in the upcoming new movie and he has admitted that he was impressed with what David brought to the set of the movie.

During in a recent interview, the King Arthur star stated, "'Beckham was awesome. I mean, I genuinely love that guy. I loved working with him. He was great."

While Charlie Hunnam plays the lead role in the movie, and David Beckham has a cameo appearance, the rest of the cast for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword includes big name stars such as Djimon Hounsou, Annabelle Wallis, Aidan Gillen, Katie McGrath, Jude Law, and Eric Bana, plus many more. As well as directing the movie, Guy Ritchie also had a hand in the screenplay for King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which is set to hit the big screen on May 12 in the US and May 19 in the UK.
